One of Japan's most lavishly decorated shrines
Nikko Tosho-gu is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu who the established Edo Shougunate. It was constructed in 1617 and further expanded by Tokugawa Iemitsu from 1634, the third shogun. Tokugawa Ieyasu’s remains are entombed here. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This tour covers Toshogu, Chuzenji Lake, Kegon waterfall, and Irohazaka Winding Road. Great nature and atmosphere at Nikko exist unchanged from 400 years ago.
